Energy-efficient and resource-saving mirror production
In our mirror production, machines are only activated when actually in use; outside of normal operating hours, they are in standby mode or completely switched off. Thanks to modern technologies, the systems operate particularly efficiently and save energy, reducing peak loads and lowering overall energy consumption.
Part of our production uses water as a process medium. Through a closed-loop system with efficient water recovery, we significantly reduce freshwater requirements and minimize wastewater. Continuous monitoring of energy and water metrics enables us to continuously optimize processes, use resources effectively, and sustainably reduce the CO₂ footprint of production.
Resource-saving, recycling-friendly packaging
Our products are packaged in boxes that are precisely tailored to the dimensions of the mirror or glass pane. This way, we avoid unnecessary volume, reduce filler material, and lower transport emissions through lower shipping weight.
Instead of conventional parcel tape, we use metal staples similar to those used in staplers. These staples are fully recyclable and can be disposed of with the cardboard in the waste paper recycling, eliminating the need for separate removal. This saves time, conserves resources, and improves the quality of paper recycling, as no adhesive residue contaminates the fibers.
Where necessary, we use shock-absorbing, recyclable padding and selectively secure delicate edges to prevent breakage. All boxes are sturdy, stackable, and optimized for common logistics processes, further reducing transport damage and returns. Upon request, we can label the packaging with clear disposal instructions to ensure the materials remain safely recycled after use.
Custom-made with minimal returns
Our custom-made production virtually eliminates returns: Each product is individually manufactured and meets specific specifications. Returns only occur in the case of proven defects such as flaws, scratches, or transport damage. To prevent these cases from occurring in the first place, we rely on multi-stage quality controls—from incoming goods inspection to visual and dimensional inspection to final acceptance—as well as shatter-proof, precisely fitting packaging.
If damage occurs despite all due care, clear processes ensure rapid assistance: documentation upon receipt, prompt inspection by our service team, and – depending on the case – replacement production or repair. At the same time, all findings are incorporated into our process optimization to ensure that similar cases occur even less frequently in the future. The result: maximum fit, high customer satisfaction, and reduced resource consumption by avoiding returns.
Efficient cardboard disposal & return of defective materials
We use a baler to compress cardboard to a minimum. This allows more to fit into the paper container, reduces pickups, and lowers CO₂ emissions and disposal costs. The sorted bales go directly to paper recycling.
At the same time, we have agreed on binding take-back procedures with our suppliers: Defective or unusable materials are taken away upon delivery and professionally recycled – including documented recycling routes. This prevents waste at the source, closes material cycles, and increases transparency in the supply chain.
Climate-conscious delivery with DHL
We ship our products with DHL because they prioritize sustainable logistics. With climate-neutral shipping, transport emissions are recorded, reduced through efficiency measures, and unavoidable residual emissions are offset through certified climate protection projects.
We also rely on optimized routes, bundled deliveries, and digital shipment information to avoid further CO₂ emissions. Combined with our custom-fit, recyclable packaging, your mirror will arrive safely – and with the smallest possible environmental footprint.
