Battery disposal
Information on the disposal of batteries and accumulators
According to the Battery Act (BattG), we as a retailer are obliged to inform you about the correct disposal of batteries and accumulators:
- Do not dispose of in household waste : Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste.

Return obligation : As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return them free of charge to the following locations:
- At our point of sale or in the immediate vicinity (e.g. municipal collection points or in stores).
- Send it to us by post, provided it is a battery from our range in the usual quantity.

Labeling : Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. Next to it is the chemical name of the harmful substance:
- Pb : More than 0.004 mass percent lead
- Cd : More than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
- Hg : More than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
- Li : Lithium
- Ni : Nickel
- Mh : metal hydride
- Zi : Zinc
The symbol of the crossed-out garbage bin indicates that disposal in household waste is prohibited.

Disposal of electrical and electronic equipment
According to the law on the placing on the market, return and environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG), the following regulations apply:
- Take-back obligation : Since August 13, 2005, manufacturers have been obliged to take back old electrical appliances free of charge.
- Labelling : Electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market after 23 November 2005 must be labelled with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.
- Separate disposal : Old appliances must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Use local collection and return systems.
- Dealer obligations : Since November 25, 2005, we have only sold electrical appliances from manufacturers who are registered with the relevant authorities and who can provide an insolvency-proof guarantee for the financing of take-back and disposal.
With these measures, we are jointly contributing to environmentally friendly waste disposal.
