Shower cubicle: The elegant eye-catcher for a modern bathroom
Whether you're building a new home or renovating, to truly create your dream bathroom, you should have as much control as possible. At Spiegelmax, we offer you maximum design freedom: From LED bathroom mirrors to vanity units and glass shower enclosures, you decide how your bathroom should look.
You have 2 basic options when you want to buy a shower enclosure:
- Shower enclosure with entry: The classic shower enclosure features a corner entry. You can choose between a version with two swing doors or a side door with a fixed glass panel.
- Niche door: In this version, the shower enclosure is enclosed by walls on three sides. A glass door is installed on the fourth side, through which you enter the enclosure.
Once you have decided on a basic model, you can design your shower enclosure according to your wishes – Spiegelmax offers you many options:
- Dimensions: Shower enclosures used to be standardized as squares measuring 700x700 mm or 800x800 mm. Today, completely custom sizes are possible. The decisive factor is the outer edge dimension of your shower tray, with sizes up to 1500x1500 mm possible.
- Glass: To maximize the light in the bathroom and make the room appear larger, we recommend clear glass doors and walls for the shower enclosure. We use transparent tempered safety glass (ESG) in 6 mm and 8 mm thicknesses.
- Decorations: If you'd like a little more privacy or want to create a visually appealing shower enclosure, we also offer motif decorations or satin finishes. Please contact us directly.
-
Profiles: The wall profiles are important for compensating for dimensional tolerances (e.g., on uneven walls) and ensure stability and tightness. Our high-quality aluminum wall profiles, combined with the glass shower enclosure, create a modern overall look.
- Locking system: To make shower doors particularly easy to open, we typically install a lift-and-lower mechanism as the locking system. This allows the shower door to be raised slightly and avoids scraping against the floor. When closed, the shower enclosure is optimally sealed.
- Door hinge: For a corner-entry shower enclosure, you'll receive two door elements, each opening to the left and right. For a niche enclosure, a left-hinged door means the door opens to the left, while a right-hinged door means the door opens to the right. Specify the desired hinge side when purchasing your shower enclosure.

Frequently asked questions from our customers about glass shower enclosures
How much does it cost to install the shower cubicle?
- At Spiegelmax, your glass shower enclosure is delivered ready for installation. Detailed installation instructions are included. If you require professional assistance with the installation of your shower enclosure, please contact a specialist company in your area and request a customized quote.
How do I properly seal a shower cubicle?
- Please ensure that you only seal the shower enclosure from the outside with suitable sanitary silicone. Sealing the inside of the shower enclosure will prevent water from draining and will collect in the profiles, increasing the risk of mold growth.
How do I clean the glass shower enclosure?
Spiegelmax's high-quality shower enclosures are extremely easy to maintain. To enjoy your glass shower for as long as possible, you should follow a few basic rules:
- Leave the doors open for a while after each shower so the steam can escape. This will prevent mold growth.
- After every shower, use a shower squeegee to remove water droplets from the glass. This will prevent limescale buildup.
- Clean the shower cubicle regularly (e.g. once a week) with a slightly acidic cleaning agent, such as vinegar cleaner, and a soft cloth.
- Fittings, profiles and stabilizers should be cleaned with a neutral cleaner, as acidic cleaning agents can cause a corrosion reaction.
- If possible, never use abrasive cleaners, rough sponges, or cloths. These could scratch the shower enclosure, which would detract from its appearance.
